A levitating podcast experience

Background
Oppdrift is a Norwegian word, which literally means buoyancy in English. The podcast show Oppdrift aims to trigger everyone who wants to achieve something extraordinaire with their business — or with their life in general. The hosts interview inspiring people with great achievements business wise, in sports or at a cultural level. While many podcasts have the hosts in focus, Oppdrift wants their guests to tell a new story in every episode. The podcast hosts are Håkon Haugsbø og Jan Villard. Håkon is a journalist with a long track record as a host for NRK programs such as Dagsrevyen, Forbrukerinspektørene and Brennpunkt. Today you can find him on NRK P2s Desse dagar. Jan lives and breathes brand building and is a strategist and partner at Minnesota Agency, Oslo.

Solution
The new visual identity of Oppdrift reflects the mood and content of the podcast itself— bright, merry, sheltered and intimate. CF-Wesenberg is the photographer of the black and white portraits of the hosts and guests. Alongside the typographic logo which represents buoyancy, is the hot air balloon symbol which is used as a graphic element on many of the communication material — all to stand out in the podcast jungle. Kristine designed this brand identity while employed at Minnesota. She designed everything from the logo, to podcast cover and animated social media content.
